Which credit card earns the most miles?
The AMEX Platinum Business earns 1 MR per euro (1.5 with Punkteturbo) and has the highest welcome bonus of 200,000 MR. For getting started, we recommend the AMEX Gold (€240/year) with a 50,000 MR bonus (promotion until 30 June 2026) and a €5,000 spend requirement.
What is the difference between AMEX MR and Miles & More?
AMEX Membership Rewards and Miles & More are two completely separate points systems. AMEX MR can NOT be transferred to Miles & More. AMEX MR are transferred to other airlines such as British Airways, Singapore Airlines, or Flying Blue. For M&M miles you need a separate Miles & More credit card.
Can I earn miles without an annual fee?
Yes! The PAYBACK AMEX (€0/year) earns 1 PAYBACK point per €3 spent, which can then be transferred 1:1 to Miles & More miles. During transfer bonus promotions (1–2x per year) you even get 20–25% extra miles. The DM PAYBACK AMEX is also free and earns double base points at dm.
What is the AMEX Punkteturbo?
The Punkteturbo costs €15 per year and raises the earning rate of all AMEX MR cards to 1.5 MR per euro (instead of 1 MR). It applies to the entire MR account and to all purchases up to €40,000 annual spend. There is no separate airline special rate.
